NEW COMPUTER LABS IN KOKROBITE AND SAWLA REGION.
A new computer lab has been installed in the Macina Foundation school in Kokrobite. The new Macina Foundation ICT Computer lab received 20 additional computers and a smartboard in order to further the education of the local school children of Kokrobite.
The Macina Foundation School opened its doors last year with as its goal to provide this isolated community with knowledge and accessibility to computers.
The ultimate objective here is creating a network for schools in the region, where they can communicate and become independent in order to increase local ownership of the education as well as the organization.
Another 5 IT labs were set up in the district assembly of Sawla Tuna Kalba in the Northern Region of Ghana, this was done in collaboration with the MP of that district.
The schools received computers, smartboards and projectors in order to enhance the teaching and learning of ICT in the region. Some the beneficiary schools included Sawla SHS, St, Monica’s R/C JHS, Tuna SHTS, Gindabo D/A JHS and Kulmasa R/C JHS.
