Training for IT graduates

20 high potentials trained in 6 months

Maxim Nyansa offers a training program run by professionals in the field of IT, personal development and education. Every year Maxim Nyansa selects 20 high potential trainees who will be following a 6 months intensive program of practical training. The trainees generally have just graduated from a local African university with a Bachelor in Computers Science/Software Engineering or a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in computer science. The trainees will be financially supported with the help of a sponsor program.

The training program consists of four parts:

1. A two month on campus general practical training in the field of IT, including a one month programming bootcamp and international certification exams. International IT specialists will be volunteering to work with our trainees on practical assignments.

2. A personal development training containing communication and time management skills and individual coaching for one year.

3. An internship for three months (which might be part of the National Service program of the Ghanaian government)

4. A month of specialization of one month at the end of the program.

During the program, trainees will have the opportunity to obtain internationally accepted IT certificates.

As African universities generally have a good theoretical curriculum, there is often not much opportunity to practice IT skills. At Maxim Nyansa, a large part of our program will consist of practical assignments. Our goal is for our students to reach a level of professionalism that satisfies international standards for IT specialists in the six months that it takes to complete the training program.

In African countries, social background is still a key factor for a good opportunity on the job market. Maxim Nyansa is dedicated to those who lack the right social network and will help them to get their career started.

What we aim to achieve

It is our ambition to launch training programmes in the metropolitan cities of West-Africa. Each year we will offer a 6 month programme for young graduates in computer science to get them ready for the international job market. At the same time, we offer a learning transformation programmes for West-African high schools, helping them to introduce their students to 21st skills including digital literacy.
